DISC Personality Assessment for Career Matching
Personality Assessment
While a good match for technical skills and talents are important in job success, how your personality meshes with others in an organization is a huge factor in a rewarding and fulfilling career.
At Austin Career Services, we are certified to offer the DISC Personality Assessment. It's not a value judgment on whether you're a good person, but rather an in-depth look at what you like and don't like, areas where you're strong and not so strong, and how you relate to others.
The DISC Personality Style
The DISC Personality Style has been instrumental in helping people discover behavioral strengths and limitations, discovering the hidden motivations and fears of yourself and others, identifying leadership styles, improving communication skills, strengthening relationships and countless other applications.
An added benefit of the DISC system is that it can suggest career matches that may be a good fit for your particular personality and what you enjoy doing.
This tool is particularly helpful in preparing for interviews and in considering whether you're a good fit for a particular position. Having a thorough understanding of how you see yourself, how others see you, and an awareness and understanding of the values and characteristics you have at your core can be an invaluable tool in helping you find that career path that is best suited for you.
Based on Your Responses
Based on your responses to a series of questions that you answer in a controlled (timed) environment, you'll get a 25 page report that is all about who you are, how view yourself and the world around you, how others see you, and suggestions for dealing with those areas that are not within your comfort zone.
We will help you interpret the report so you'll have a much more in-depth understanding of who you are, how you relate to others, and how you view the world around you. The better you understand yourself, the better you'll be at evaluating employment opportunities and relationships with others.
